goals for 2011

I could say hubby and I are earning fairly high enough to build a good savings account. But, at the end of the month we always find our account with no movement or even less than the amount we first have. Budgeting seems easy, but it always fails for us. I have been reading a lot of budgeting advice and steps and I can say I followed such.

We could have been spending on something that keeps us from saving enough. That is my goal now because I am determined to have a significant savings for our future. That goal must be achieved by the end of 2011, next year.

growing tummy again

Being at home with my friends and family gives a different kind of feeling. Of course, there is celebration when hubby and I arrived and it feels like it never ends. Plus, the Christmas day was also celebrated. For that matter my appetite is celebrating as well. I can't resist the yummy food served every meal. I think I sabotage the long dieting I made. It hurts to see my tummy growing big again.

So, I would have to check some weight loss methods again. I have tried it before and combine it with other few things like exercise and diet and it worked well. This time I hope it will work again for me.

it's refreshing to see flowers

I love flowers, but I have to admit I am not an enthusiast in terms of growing it. Last year, I arrived in this apartment with no plants or let's just say few plants in the yard. The caretaker doesn't like planting. She has this alibi that the dogs will destroy it.

However, early September she decided to resign and was replaced by a 44 year old single mom. To my surprise, the yard looks amazing. She planted orchids, rose, vegetables and even ornamental plants. Just this morning I saw this gorgeous white knock out rose. It really looks so good and refreshing. I hope to see lots of plants in the future.

deciding what to buy

Hubby bought a pair of working shoes last week. It's our practice that whenever he buys something, I will also get my share as well. It's supposed to be the same price according to my choice. It's a bit silly, but that's how we live our life. However, until now I haven't bought my stuff.

Hubby told me that I only have two weeks to decide or he will forfeit the privilege. I can't decide since I want to buy a lot of things including makeup set, clothes, shoes, bags and so much more. With the money involve I know that is not enough. I guess I should have to think over and over before deciding.

I think I'm no good child now

My father used to dream having a Plasma tv and a nice stand in his room. He is indirectly asking me to buy one. He shows me a number of flyers of tv's and tv stands. I just keep on telling him that I still need to save more for it because I don't want to hurt his feelings. I have no intention of turning him down; in fact I have the interests of giving it to him this Christmas.

But, before I can make a move, my younger brother already purchase one. I guess dad considers me a "no good child" now. Better luck next time, I guess.

feeling envious towards her

If given a chance, I would definitely love to visit New York, especially after watching a movie set in NY. I am curious what the place can offer. It’s not enough that I see the place on movie or read some articles about it. I have been hearing good things, which increases my eagerness.

I feel envious over a flight attendant friend. She was able to go on New York City Sightseeing and other places around the globe, free of charge. It is the best career for those who wanted to see the world. But, it is not for everyone.

I may not be an attendant like her, but I keep a goal that I will see and visit other places around the globe. The right time will come, probably not now but tomorrow or the next day, or the other day. My hopes are high, hopefully it will come true.
